We head north to Tennessee making our way to The Ridge. We had a few stops at Thousand Trail Campgrounds on the west and central part of TN, that were in need of repair and we were anxious to get out of the path of more tornados and a hail storm (fortunately no damage). The hail was the size of marbles.
We were ready to head east to “The Ridge” in Sevierville, TN in the Smoky Mountains.
We loved visiting with some friends at the 2023 Tennessee Switch It Up Huddle. It seemed to go by so quickly and as were preoccupied with vet visits for Snickers which thankfully turned out to be minor and not as serious as it could have been.
We enjoyed our Smoky Mountain visit. Our visit included taking in Anakeesta with the spectacular views where we rode the rail rider, walked the tree top skywalk, along with an evening to view the Astra Lumina Light experience. Whopped it up at the Hatfield and McCoy Dinner show, drove through Cades Cove viewing wildlife and an old settlement. Stopped along the way at an area with five food trucks for a bite to eat and an Old General Store where Snickers posed with the metal bears.
In the Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area we took in the sites on the weekends.
