Thanksgiving

November 2022

We made the panhandle our home for several weeks. The Santa Rosa RV Park was within a mile from Navarre Beach, which was a wonderful beach to feel the sand and water on your toes in November.

As we settled into our stop at Santa Rosa RV Resort, we took account of our adventures so far and were reminded of the connections we have made. We are thankful and treasure each and everyone we have met with along the way. From our mentors, Mark and Julie Bennett from RV Love, to a connection through RVillage with a sweet couple, to our neighbors at Talona Ridge and Red Bay Acres that have become great friends, to brief meetings with numerous Red Bay residents and vendor connections that shared their wealth of knowledge, to the people with whom we had wonderful conversations by a campfire or in a hot-tub, to our long-time friends that have met up with us, and even to the people we have briefly met at a truck stop along the way. Each interaction, has left a mark on us that is special in it’s own distinct way and we look forward to many more.

We celebrated our first Thanksgiving in the RV with a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, and could not resist making my leftover turkey pot pie!

We are thankful for the opportunity to not only see the country but more importantly, to meet wonderful people along the way.
