Sharing RV Adventures

Sian & Richard

with our sweet girl “Snickers”

Following years of dreaming and researching, we are began our adventure last year, shopping for an RV.  We stepped out of our comfort zone by starting a blog to share our RV adventures and more importantly, we hope to connect with you and hear about your experiences of “Sharing RV Adventures”!

We’ll provide a brief background on ourselves…. We have both lived in New England for our entire lives.  Growing up, Sian camped with her family and girl scouts, and later introduced Richard to tent camping.  We love camping and immersing ourselves in the beauty of nature. There is nothing better than cooking over the campfire.

In 2021, we sold our house and downsized into a one bedroom apartment. We knew more downsizing would be required to fit into an RV, so we continued to purge emptying our temporary 5’x10’ storage unit.

While in the apartment we continued to learn more about RV’s and RV life… both on line, talking with friends, and attending RV shows.  We had a good idea what features, layout and size would be best for us. We are ready to explore the country with some creature comforts of home. So we searched nationally for the right Class A motorhome for us. After searching for a lightly used RV, we found a gem, a 2019 Tiffin Phaeton 40IH that had less than 2,000 miles on it that had been stored indoors.

We purchased the RV and picked it up in Michigan on Memorial Day 2022. Our first week we stayed at a local campground for one week before bringing it back to Massachusetts. Our research guided us to taking a two day driving course in Michigan from RV Driving School. The course was invaluable and our instructor customized the course for both of us to feel confident with a healthy dose of awareness.

We took the summer to pour over manuals and learn about our new motorhome. We dreamed, believed and are now starting to live out our dream.

Although we still have a lot to learn, we are excited to have finally started our adventures and want to share our experiences with you.

See you on the road!
